Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain accounts, and support new business. The role involves coordinating day-to-day administration, handling policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals, with a focus on service excellence.

Remote work is available for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones, with occasional on-site hybrid needs near branch locations. A P&C license is required; CIC designation is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Required active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense for timely completion.
• Communicate workload status within the team.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
