Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to oversee a book of business, retain clients, and support new business. Remote work is available for candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones, with possible hybrid onsite requirements near a branch location in some cases.

The role involves coordinating daily activities and resolving complex issues across policy administration, billing, claims, and renewals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain industry knowledge and technical competence.
• Lead daily account management team activities.
• Manage client requests, policy admin, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Oversee expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, present proposals.
• Monitor reports and collect delinquent balances.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier platforms; ensure data accuracy.
• Track activity and suspense to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and quickly respond to requests.
• Stay updated on policies and procedures.
• Adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
