Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new growth. You will handle policy administration, billing, claims, renewals, and analystically review coverage needs.

The role requires an active P&C license, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lead a team while coordinating daily activities. Remote work is available for candidates in specified time zones with hybrid onsite options where needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals; conduct client research and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Communicate regularly with the account team on workload and issues.
• Deliver exceptional service and seek improvements in team performance.
