Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, ensure client retention, and support new business. You will handle day-to-day administration, service requests, billing, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), active P&C license (CIC preferred), and strong analytical and communication skills. Remote in Eastern/Central Time Zones with occasional on-site work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages and present proposals.
• Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense for timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and respond quickly to service requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
