Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. Remote with Eastern/Central Time Zone candidates; may require onsite in hybrid arrangements per policy.

You will lead the account management team and coordinate daily admin, service requests, billing, and coverages analysis. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management (or 5+ in insurance), active license, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in insurance.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and quick responses.
• Stay updated on company policies.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
