Job summary

Risk Placement Services (RPS) is seeking an Account Consultant to support our Ancillary Benefits team in Berkeley Heights, NJ. You will work with Account Managers to ensure high-quality service and manage assigned client relationships across carriers and brokers.

The role emphasizes strong organization, clear communication, and proactive problem solving in a remote, dynamic environment. A license in Health & Life insurance is required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; no experience needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Must obtain health & life insurance license within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support an assigned book of business with Account Managers.
• Coordinate ancillary RFPs from receipt through completion.
• Serve as main contact between carriers, sales teams and broker partners.
• Track proposal activity and carrier submissions.
• Prepare marketing results, renewal materials, and broker deliverables.
• Process new business and policy changes with accuracy.
• Assist with group changes and address billing, claims, eligibility.
• Provide renewal and open enrollment support.
• Maintain knowledge of ancillary products and underwriting requirements.
• Ensure documentation is accurate in internal systems.
