Job summary

The American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern. This fully remote role requires residence in MN or other listed states and runs Jan 19, 2027 – Apr 9, 2027, at $18.00/hr for up to 24 hours/week.

You will support the Academic Communities team by maintaining SIG webpages, assisting with budgets and event logistics for the 2027 Winter and Summer conferences, and helping with awards and conference proceedings.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in event, volunteer, or association management.
• Experience with Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for the 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries alongside the Manager, Academic Communities, and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
