Job summary

American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern. This fully remote role pays $18.00 per hour for up to 24 hours each week, with dates January 19, 2027 – April 9, 2027.

You will support SIG webpages, budgets, event planning for the 2027 Winter/Summer conferences, answer attendee inquiries, and assist with conference proceedings.

This internship offers exposure to academic marketing communities, volunteer leadership support, and collaboration with AMA teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience preferred.
• Experience with Google Suite (Workspace).
• Ability to work remotely up to 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist with conference proceedings administration.
