Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking an Academic Advisor to guide students in planning courses toward certificates or degrees, assess strengths, and promote student success. The role involves advising, conduct of graduation audits, residency appeals, and enrollment adjustments within CSN sites in the Charleston service region.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Education, Liberal Arts, or related field, with one year of advising experience and bilingual Spanish capability; Master’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Liberal Arts, Social Science, or related field from an accredited college/university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year in an Advising related role.

Responsibilities

• Help students plan their course work toward certificate or degree completion, assess strengths and limitations, and connect to campus resources.
• Assist students with graduation audits, Residency appeals, Unusual Enrollment, and Credit Overload requests.
• Positions may function within a hybrid or remote model and operate from CSN sites within the Charleston service region.
