Job summary

Capella University is seeking a Part-Time Faculty (Doctoral Mentor) to support Applied Behavior Analysis within the GuidedPath format. Remote, with coaching of doctoral learners and participation in doctoral committees.

Role includes timely feedback, residency travel, and engagement in program activities. The role requires Ed.D./Ph.D./Psy.D and BCBA/BCBA-D certification, with three years of graduate-level teaching or doctoral experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation.
• Effective communication with all levels of the University.
• Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning and organizing course objectives.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.

Responsibilities

• Assignments are ongoing according to expertise and school needs.
• Mentor doctoral learners and participate in doctoral committees; provide feedback on assignments.
• Be available within 48 hours (excluding weekends/holidays) by phone, email, and courseroom for timely feedback.
• Travel within the US to participate in doctoral residencies.
• Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the learning experience.
• Establish high standards and ensure learners understand evaluation methods.
• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and training as required.
• Participate in other activities based on university needs.
