Room 8 Studio is seeking a Realistic 3D Hard Surface Artist at a middle/senior level to craft high‑fidelity components for AAA titles. You will model hard surface assets from blockout to engine‑ready, optimize topology, and collaborate with art and tech teams across remote locations.

Ideal candidates have strong skills in Max or Maya, ZBrush, UV mapping, texture baking, and experience with game engines like Unreal or Unity. Join a diverse, passionate studio delivering world‑leading art solutions.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete all stages of hard surface asset creation from blockout to engine-ready.
• Team player with focus on results and development in remote teams.
• Experience creating weapons and equipment with realistic materials.

Responsibilities

• Create high-poly and low-poly models for games based on given concepts.
• Develop optimal UV layouts and bake textures for multiple engines.
• Texture assets in Substance Painter and verify material setups.
• Collaborate with art directors and engineers to integrate assets into engines.
