Job summary

CarePoint Response, Inc. is seeking an experienced 988 Text & Chat Supervisor to lead counselors delivering crisis intervention through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

This frontline leadership role supervises real-time interactions, guides staff during high-risk situations, and ensures trauma-informed, confidential support. The ideal candidate has crisis intervention experience, strong leadership abilities, and the calm decisiveness needed in fast-paced emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field, or a bachelor’s with crisis experience.
• 2+ years of crisis intervention or mental health experience.
• 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Excellent written communication and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time supervision and de-escalation guidance to Text and Chat counselors.
• Support staff during high-risk situations and ensure client safety.
• Monitor quality, documentation, and adherence to 988 Lifeline standards.
• Assist with staff onboarding, training, and performance development.
• Manage staffing and scheduling for assigned shifts.
