Job summary

SMA America is seeking a Transportation Coordinator for a 6-month remote assignment in the United States. You will support the Transportation Analysts and Manager by entering shipments, tracking transit, and coordinating Large Scale project deliveries from import to site.

The role requires 2+ years in a coordination/administrative role, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. US work authorization is required, and the assignment is remote with core daytime hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years in a coordination or administrative role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high pressure environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a customer service focus.
• Residence within the continental United States with core hours availability.

Responsibilities

• Enter shipments into the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Track and trace shipments in transit and resolve issues as they occur.
• Coordinate Large Scale project shipments from import through delivery to site.
• Support complex shipments and projects as assigned by the Transportation team.
• Maintain accurate records of items transported between locations.
• Report on delivery timelines and any delays.
• Act as the liaison between customers and carriers to keep shipments on schedule.
• Support maintenance of the TMS, including rates and transit times.
• Support customs related activities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned within the scope of the assignment.
