Job summary

Guidant Financial is seeking a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans from document review to year-end filings. You will grow quickly through accelerated learning, training and practical experience while helping clients nationwide.

As you review documents, reconcile plans and prepare IRS Form 5500, you will use Excel and retirement software.

Qualifications

• Experience in document review and transaction processing in a back-office context.
• 1–5 years in adjacent financial operations such as benefits administration, money movement, or compliance.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business/finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting
• Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software
• Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting
• Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process
• Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500, using filing software
• Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and 401(k) plan documents
