Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled 3D Mechanical Designer to join our Data Center Mission Critical Group. You will create and refine detailed drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, perform site walkdowns, and collaborate closely with engineers on HVAC, piping, and fire protection systems.

The role emphasizes BIM proficiency and mentorship of junior designers. You may work from any Enercon office or remotely within the US for senior candidates, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field with 1+ year design engineering experience OR 6+ years for Associates degree
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit; NAVISWORKS, Inventor, Creo, Bluebeam recommended
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and design execution relevant to the discipline
• Willingness to travel 10–15% depending on project/client needs

Responsibilities

• Design and Drafting: Create/modify detailed drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT; prepare layout, detail drawings, piping isometrics, and P&ID; design of piping/HVAC supports
• Engineering Collaboration: Size and design piping, pumps, equipment for HVAC/plumbing/fire protection; collaborate with engineers and other designers
• 3D Modeling & BIM: Proficient in BIM; conduct internal reviews and clash detection using NAVISWORKS/REVIT; create/modify REVIT families
• Field Work: Conduct client site walkdowns and generate walkdown reports
• Quality & Standards: Self-check drawings; understand AutoCAD standards; perform peer checks
• Leadership & Mentorship: Review work and mentor junior designers; meet time goals
• Communication & Organization: Communicate with engineers/designers; follow procedures and safety policies
