Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a 3D Mechanical Designer to join the Data Center Mission Critical Group. You will create and refine detailed drawings using AutoCAD, REVIT, and BIM tools, perform site walkdowns, and collaborate with engineers to size piping, pumps, HVAC and fire protection.

This role emphasizes mentoring junior designers, adherence to safety standards, and high attention to detail. Remote within the US is possible for senior candidates, with opportunities across ENERCON

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field with 1+ year design engineering experience.
• Associate Degree in related field with 6+ years design engineering experience.
• Or minimum of 10 years of experience in design engineering.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit; NAVISWORKS, Inventor, Creo, Bluebeam recommended.
• Knowledge of codes and standards; strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10–15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Design & Drafting: Create/modify detailed drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT; piping isometrics and P&ID.
• Engineering Collaboration: Size and design piping, pumps, HVAC, and fire protection equipment.
• 3D Modeling & BIM: Work with BIM tools; perform clash detection with NAVISWORKS/REVIT.
• Field Work: Conduct client site walkdowns and generate walkdown reports.
• Quality & Standards: Self-checks and peer checks; adhere to AutoCAD national standards.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Review work and mentor junior designers; meet time goals.
• Communication & Organization: Coordinate with engineers and designers; follow procedures.
