Job summary
West Shore Home is seeking a Home Remodeling Trainee in Grand Rapids, MI, to join our Installation Team. The role focuses on installing bathtubs/showers, remodeling projects, and learning NCCER training.”
You will work with our Installation Manager, Lead Installers, Trainers, and Operations staff from our Kentwood location, with a standard 6:30 AM start and a path to growth through world-class training and company-provided tools.
Qualifications
- Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction – or a hunger to learn.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must have a valid smart phone or smart device to log into company systems using two-factor authentication
Responsibilities
- Meet at our warehouse at 6:30AM, gather materials, and load company trucks
- Drive to customers home, greet and establish rapport
- Complete controlled demolition of the bathtub/shower area
- Install new bathtub/shower pan and acrylic wall surround, update plumbing as needed
- Show extreme attention to detail and care for customer’s home by properly cleaning up following installation
- Obtain necessary signed documents & payment from customer, and return to warehouse
