West Shore Home is looking for a Home Remodeling Trainee to join our Grand Rapids team. You will work under the Installation Manager, partnering with Lead Installers and Trainers to deliver high-quality installations. Key responsibilities include meeting at the warehouse, performing installations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through attention to detail.

This entry-level position requires a valid driver’s license and a strong desire to learn about home remodeling. Full-time employment offers generous benefits, including insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, or strong desire to learn.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Must be able to read measurements accurately.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Smartphone or smart device for two-factor authentication.

Responsibilities

• Meet at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, gather materials, and load company trucks.
• Drive to customer homes and establish rapport.
• Perform controlled demolition of bathtub/shower area.
• Install new bathtub/shower pan and update plumbing as needed.
• Maintain attention to detail and clean up the site.
• Obtain signed documents and return payments to the warehouse.

West Shore Home is building the first nationwide home remodeling brand and is looking for a Home Remodeling Trainee to join our Grand Rapids team. The trainee will work under the Installation Manager and partner with Lead Installers, Trainers, and Warehouse/Operations staff to deliver high‑quality shower installation and bath remodel experiences.

Responsibilities

• Meet at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, gather materials, and load company trucks.
• Drive to customer homes, greet clients, and establish rapport.
• Perform controlled demolition of the bathtub/shower area.
• Install new bathtub/shower pan, acrylic wall surround, and update plumbing as needed.
• Maintain extreme attention to detail and clean up the site after installation.
• Obtain necessary signed documents and payment from the customer and return to warehouse.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction, or a strong desire to learn.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
