West Shore Home is in search of a dedicated Home Remodeling Trainee to join our Grand Rapids, MI team. This entry-level position involves hands-on responsibilities such as assisting lead installers, performing demolition, and installing new fixtures in customer homes. You will be engaged in world-class training programs and benefit from a comprehensive benefits package.

Ideal candidates will have a desire to learn, strong attention to detail, and a valid driver's license. The role starts early in the morning and offers opportunities for overtime at competitive rates.

Qualifications

West Shore Home is building the first nationwide home remodeling brand and is looking for a Home Remodeling Trainee to join our Grand Rapids team. The trainee will work under the Installation Manager and partner with Lead Installers, Trainers, and Warehouse/Operations staff to deliver high‑quality shower installation and bath remodel experiences.

Responsibilities

• Meet at the warehouse at 6:30 AM, gather materials, and load company trucks.
• Drive to customer homes, greet clients, and establish rapport.
• Perform controlled demolition of the bathtub/shower area.
• Install new bathtub/shower pan, acrylic wall surround, and update plumbing as needed.
• Maintain extreme attention to detail and clean up the site after installation.
• Obtain necessary signed documents and payment from the customer and return to warehouse.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, remodeling, plumbing, construction, or a strong desire to learn.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid smartphone or smart device for two‑factor authentication.
