Job summary

House Doctors of St. Louis is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the remodel division in the Saint Peters area, owning revenue, costs, margins and customer satisfaction.

You will report to the owner and run the business day to day, ensuring projects move smoothly from contract to completion. You will hire and lead field crews, manage budgets, price estimates, and coordinate permits, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety across interior and exterior remodeling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on residential construction or remodeling experience.
• 3+ years running operations with P&L or budget responsibility.
• Solid financial skills: budgeting, pricing, and reading a P&L.
• Proven leader of crews and subcontractors who holds standards.
• Broad trade knowledge across interior and exterior work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire operation and own its results: revenue, costs, margins, and satisfaction.
• Report to the owner and run the business day to day.
• Manage the annual operating budget and review job costing.
• Price and approve estimates and change orders to protect margin.
• Negotiate supplier pricing and control waste.
• Track KPIs and implement profit-improving changes.
• Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate field crews.
• Pull permits, schedule inspections, and handle punch lists.
