You've swung the hammer. Now run the show.
If you've spent years on job sites - framing walls, setting tile, hanging doors, replacing siding, chasing leaks - and you're the person crews call when something doesn't add up, we want to talk to you. Looking for a result driven professional to grow with us to the next level!
House Doctors is a leading national franchise in the home repair and remodel industry. Our St Peters, MO location has served St. Charles County, West County, and St Louis County, MO homeowners for 18+ years. We're licensed, bonded and insured, hold an A+ BBB rating with five-star Google reviews.
We are growing fast into full remodels. We need an Operations Manager to help grow the remodel team, and run the entire operation with full P&L accountability: someone who knows the trades inside and out, from the kitchen to the roofline, and knows how to make every job profitable.
Pay and perks
- Base salary: $85,000 to 120,000 per year, based on experience;
- Profit-based bonus: tied to KPIs such as gross margin, on-time completion, NPS, and customer reviews;
- Company vehicle

- Paid holidays
- 401k/401k matching
- Steady, year-round residential work in St. Charles and St. Louis; no out-of-state travel
What you'll do
You'll oversee the entire operation and own its results: revenue, job costs, margins and customer satisfaction. You report directly to the owner and run the business day to day.
Own the numbers
- Hold full P&L accountability for operations: revenue targets, gross margin, labor and material costs, and overhead
- Build and manage the annual operating budget; review job costing and monthly financials with the owner
- Price and approve estimates and change orders to protect margin
- Negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing; control waste, rework and callbacks
- Track and report KPIs: gross margin per job, on-time completion, budget variance, callback rate, review scores
- Recommend and implement systems, pricing and process improvements that grow profit
Lead the people
- Hire, train, schedule and evaluate field crews; recruit and manage a reliable bench of subcontractors
- Set quality, safety and customer-service standards, and hold the team to them
Run the jobs
- Own every job from signed contract to final walkthrough, keeping 5 to 10+ mid to large projects moving at once
- Prep for jobs, direct crews and contractors. Walk sites regularly: check workmanship, solve problems on the spot, and step in hands-on when needed
- Scope jobs, verify measurements and order the right materials the first time
- Diagnose hidden conditions (rot, water damage, out-of-plumb framing, code issues) and price the fix
- Be the homeowner's trusted point of contact: clear updates, no surprises
- Pull permits, schedule inspections, and run punch lists and warranty callbacks
