Job summary

Commerce Bank is seeking a Remittance Processor II – Wholesale Lockbox to support payment processing and remittance handling. The role involves applying customer rules, processing payments, and ensuring accuracy while maintaining HIPAA and PCI compliance.

Work schedule is Monday–Friday with the specified hours. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and 1+ year of payment processing experience, plus basic MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of payment processing or related experience in a production environment required.
• Ability to follow department guidelines and understand customer instructions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Apply customer rules to perform desk related duties including credit card processing, pulling rejected work, labeling processed work and responding to emails.
• Meet department production and quality goals by processing multiple accounts with accuracy and in compliance with procedures.
• Complete data entry item processing for scanned images, manual keying, and field validation of multiple accounts.
• Process PHI and card payments in compliance with HIPAA, PCI, and all policies.
• Read and interpret customer instructions for remittance processing, including mail sorting and data capture.
• Operate, clean and maintain equipment; report issues as needed.
• Provide secondary support and preparation of document disposal; cross-train as needed.
