Job summary
Woodard & Curran in Middletown, CT, seeks a mid-level project engineer to support and manage remediation projects for industrial, commercial, and municipal clients. You will report to Project Managers in our National Environmental Remediation Practice and work with a diverse team of engineers and scientists.
The role covers site remediation design, cost estimates, construction oversight, and project management, with opportunities to mentor junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program; Master’s desirable.
- PE or EIT licensure preferred.
- Experience with site remediation programs and project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conducting corrective measures/feasibility studies
- Developing detailed remedial designs including drawings, technical plans, cost estimates, and specifications
- Evaluating remediation construction bids
- Estimating costs and developing and managing the scope, schedule, and budget for project tasks
- Designing in situ and ex situ soil, sediment, and groundwater remedies
- Preparing technical reports in compliance with environmental regulations
- Selecting, coordinating, and managing subcontractors
- Evaluating and mitigating vapor intrusion sites
- Managing remedial construction activities
- Collaborating with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
