Job summary

GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC seeks a Remediation Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery at field locations across the country. The role is on-call and supports remediation projects nationwide, with travel required and the ability to work at GrayMar field offices.

Candidates should have a HS diploma, 5 years of heavy equipment experience including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes, and a clean driving record. OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience.
• 5 years operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders and backhoes.
• 1 year of hazardous materials, contaminated soil, or environmental remediation experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; Class A preferred.
• 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER with current 8-hr refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment proficiently and in safety compliance.
• Use equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, loaders and backhoes.
• Follow safety policies and SOPs for vehicle operation and maintenance.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous soils in proper PPE while operating heavy equipment.
• Load and unload heavy equipment on trailers and maintain equipment.
