Job summary

GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC seeks a Remediation Heavy Equipment Operator to safely run heavy machinery at field locations nationwide. The role is on-call, with travel and local support for ongoing projects across the country, and can be based in any GrayMar field office.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of heavy equipment operation, experience with excavators and loaders, and a background in hazardous materials or environmental remediation, plus a valid license and OSHA HAZWOPER

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience.
• 5 years operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes.
• At least 1 year of hazardous materials, contaminated soil, or environmental remediation experience.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL-A preferred.
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER with 8-hour refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and in accordance with safety policies.
• Operate equipment including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and related gear.
• Prioritize Health and Safety and follow procedures for vehicle operation.
• Follow SOPs for operating and maintaining company vehicles.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous soils with appropriate PPE.
• Grease and maintain equipment.
• Load and unload heavy equipment on trailers.
• Participate in a drug-free workplace with random drug testing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
