Job summary

GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC in Reno, NV seeks a Remediation Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery on environmental projects nationwide. The role is on-call with travel to field locations and can be based at any GrayMar field office.

You will follow safety policies, perform maintenance, and work with hazardous soils in varied weather. Requires 5 years of heavy equipment experience, valid license, and HAZWOPER training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience.
• 5 years operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders and backhoes.
• One year of hazmat, contaminated soil, or environmental remediation experience.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER with current 8-hr refresher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment proficiently and safely.
• Travel to field locations nationwide as needed.
• Support remediation projects and branch operations.
• Load and unload heavy equipment on trailers.
• Follow safety policies and PPE; maintain equipment.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and greasing.
