Job summary

GrayMar Environmental Services, LLC is seeking a Remediation Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy machinery at field sites nationwide. This on-call role supports remediation projects across the country and may require travel, with base work at any GrayMar field office.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 5+ years of heavy equipment operation, HazWOPER certification preferred, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDL-A preferred.
• HazWOPER training preferred.
• 5+ years of heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience.
• 5 years operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and backhoes.
• One year of hazardous materials/environmental remediation experience.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; CDL-A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and in compliance with safety policies.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes and similar gear.
• Prioritize health and safety and follow SOPs for vehicle operation and maintenance.
• Handle soils and substances with proper PPE.
• Grease and maintain equipment and load/unload heavy equipment.
• Participate in a drug-free workplace with random testing.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
