LaBella Associates in Buffalo, NY is seeking an experienced Remedial System Technician for our Remedial Construction group. The role involves operating and maintaining remediation systems, performing pilot tests, site inspections, and sampling of soils and groundwater.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of relevant experience, strong mechanical aptitude, a valid NYS driver's license, and a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification. Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant remediation experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot pumps and electronic controls.
• Valid NYS driver license.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Experience with NYSDEC standby contracts is a plus.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems (SVE, air sparge, hi‑vac/dual phase extraction, oxygen injection, and product recovery).
• Install and decommission remediation systems; conduct pilot tests and site inspections.
• Collect soil and groundwater samples.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced full-time Remedial System Technician for our Remedial Construction group.

Duties

• Operation and maintenance of a variety of soil and groundwater remediation systems, including, but not limited to, soil vapor extraction, air sparge, hi vacuum/dual phase extraction, oxygen injection and product recovery.
• Additional duties include installation and decommissioning of systems, performance of pilot tests, site inspections, and soil and groundwater sampling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot pumps and electronic controls
• Valid NYS Driver License
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
• Experience with NYSDEC standby contracts a plus
• Ability to operate heavy equipment a plus

Salary Range: $22 - $30 per hour
