LaBella Associates is seeking a Junior Environmental Construction Project Manager to join the Remedial Construction team in Ballston Spa, NY. You will collaborate with engineers and other PMs to advance our environmental construction group in the Ballston Spa office.

Responsibilities include leading planning and execution, managing subcontractors, and ensuring cost, scope, and schedule adherence. A relevant bachelor’s degree and NYS driver’s license are required; HAZWOPER and safety

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• 3–10+ years of project management experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with NYS solicitations and NYSDEC processes is a plus.
• Must have NYS driver’s license and ability to pass background check.

• Sourcing costing from subcontractors.
• Submitting NYSDEC solicitations.
• Provide leadership in a matrix organization.
• Develop and manage comprehensive work plans, risks, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage subcontractors on projects and act as main client contact for cost/scope/schedule.
• Ensure compliance with NY state contracts and solicitations where applicable.

Job description

We are seeking a Junior Environmental Construction Project Manager to join our Remedial Construction team in Ballston Spa, NY. This position will work closely with the environmental program manager, field service manager, environmental and mechanical engineers and other project managers within our group to continue to advance and grow our environmental construction group in the Ballston Spa office.

Duties

• Sourcing costing from subcontractors.
• Submitting Required NYSDEC solicitations.
• Effective leadership in a matrix organization
• Initiation, planning, executing, building a comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing the risks, scope, schedule and budget, along with closing out projects
• Managing subcontractors on projects
• Being the main point of contact between subcontractors and the client. The project manager should be responsible for monitoring and measuring project performance throughout the project and resolving any contract disputes related to cost, scope and schedule.
• Relevant experience required.
• Preferred a minimum of 3 to 10 + years of project manager experience
• Relevant bachelor’s degree is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience working under a NY state contract and completing solicitations for subcontractors a plus.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License and be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to and from work daily.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (is a plus, will train the right candidate)
• 10-hour Construction Safety certification (is a plus, will train the right candidate)

Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
