Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Remedial System Technician to join our Remedial Construction team. This hands‑on role focuses on operating and maintaining soil and groundwater remediation systems while supporting field implementation activities.

Preferred candidates bring 3+ years of field experience and strong mechanical aptitude; NYS driver’s license and background check are required. Training for 40‑hour HAZWOPER and 10‑hour Construction Safety is available, with travel across NY to client

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant field experience (plumbing and/or electrical skills can translate to this type of work).
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot pumps and electronic controls.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License and ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation to get to and from work daily; company vehicle provided at site.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification is a plus and will be trained if needed.
• 10-hour Construction Safety certification is a plus and will be trained if needed.
• Travel is required, including overnights across NY currently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain soil and groundwater remediation systems, including soil vapor extraction, air sparging, high vacuum/dual‑phase extraction, oxygen injection and product recovery systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, and decommission remediation systems.
• Perform pilot testing and system performance evaluations.
• Conduct site inspections and routine maintenance.
• Collect soil and groundwater samples per project requirements.
• Test voltage with a voltmeter.
• Ensure safe operation of company vehicle, equipment, and tools; maintain a clean vehicle.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Complete tasks within timeframes set by Field Services Manager and Project Managers.
• Submit completed work orders, timesheets and receipts daily or weekly.
• Interact with courtesy and professionalism with client customers.

Job description

We are seeking a Remedial System Technician to join our Remedial Construction team. This role involves hands‑on work with environmental remediation systems, supporting both operation and field implementation activities. Prior electrical and/or plumbing experience is a plus and we are willing to train the right candidate for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product recovery systems

Salary Range

$23 - $28 per hour (specific salary may be influenced by experience, education, and work location)
