Job summary

August Mack Environmental, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Remedial Construction Field Technician II. You will perform soil excavation/removal, install remediation systems, demolition, and other site work in a dynamic field environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of construction or field labor experience, ability to travel to client sites across multiple states, and physically demanding work including lifting 50–100 pounds. OSHA/HAZWOPER certification is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of construction or field labor experience required or preferred.
• HAZWOP ER 40-Hour certification is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to pass safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Heavy Equipment Operators with field execution of projects.
• Maintain and repair field equipment including generators, pumps, and small power tools.
• Learn to operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and backhoes.
• Operate or use equipment like air monitoring gear, lasers, saws, and welding tools as needed.
• Load trucks, mobilize to project sites, and set up jobs.
• Verify utility locates before work and keep daily time/hours reporting.
• Follow safety standards and wear appropriate PPE; travel up to 100%.
