Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Relocation Project Manager to lead FF&E and move-management initiatives for education-sector projects. The role is based in Monterey Park, CA with additional site work in the Los Angeles area.

You will oversee FF&E programming, budgeting, procurement, scheduling with construction teams, installation, and post-move close-out to ensure occupancy readiness. Responsibilities include coordinating with A/E teams, BUGs, and college stakeholders, managing swing space, and

Qualifications

• Education: A four (4) year College Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Construction/Project Management, Planning, Facilities Management or related area required.
• Experience: 12-20 years of project management and coordination experience in Move/Relocation Management, Project Management, Interior Design, Facilities Management, or Coordination/Procurement of Furniture, Fixture and Equipment.
• Ability to read architectural and furniture drawings.
• Knowledge of furniture and equipment specifications and procurement.
• Flexibility to work at any of the District colleges and site locations.
• Strong written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam software.

Responsibilities

• Perform FF&E project management services with emphasis in FF&E selection, procurement coordination and purchasing for all areas identified for FF&E and move-in/relocations management.
• Coordinate with Procurement to manage FF&E purchasing using best-value or low bid contracting.
• Identify project scope, budget, schedule, and FF&E requirements with stakeholders and plan swing space moves.
• Create FF&E budgets and provide budget validation at milestones.
• Attend weekly project meetings with architects, managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure accurate FF&E specifications and layouts.
• Coordinate IT equipment planning, procurement and installation with the Technology Project Manager.
• Coordinate project close-out efforts for FF&E and Move services.
