Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Project Manager to support LA-based education facilities projects. You will lead pre-construction, bidding, construction, and close-out activities, coordinating with district teams and public agencies to ensure budget and schedule adherence and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 7+ years in construction PM for public/educational facilities, with CCM/PE/AIA/LEED preferred. A strong focus on cost control, communication, and team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing Project Management Plans and fee/budget proposals.
• Experience developing and driving action plans.
• Experience managing the City of Los Angeles plan check and permit process and construction phase inspections.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor scope throughout the project and adjust as needed.
• Ability to prepare and communicate cost and revenue projections.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate pre-construction, bid/award, construction and close-out phases of projects.
• Prepare Project Management plan and fee budget/proposal at project outset.
• Coordinate with public agencies during pre-construction and construction.
• Monitor project budget and schedule to meet standards and reflect progress.
• Review submittals and re-evaluate contract scope as needed.
• Drive permitting processes and ensure timely approvals.
• Ensure design management aligns with budget, scope, and client standards.
