Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide patient-centered care in a full-time setting. You will fill prescriptions accurately, educate patients, and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and leadership.

In this role you will mentor pharmacy technicians, supervise operations in the absence of the pharmacist, and participate in clinical services such as immunizations where allowed. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements is essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of pharmacy systems and software.
• Strong understanding of state and federal regulations.
• Excellent communication with patients and team members.
• Ability to mentor and develop pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold technicians accountable and help grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform at a high level.
• Comply with Meijer policies, procedures, and laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with strong organizational skills.
• Listen to patients and address needs and concerns.
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the pharmacist's absence.
• Perform clinical services such as immunizations where allowed.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
