Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacist to practice patient-centered care in a community setting. You will fill prescriptions safely, educate and mentor technicians, and maintain strong relationships with patients and staff while ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.

The role requires licensure in the state, a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, and experience in retail pharmacy with immunization responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with pharmacy policies and procedures and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Mentor and educate pharmacy technicians to enhance team performance.
• Lead and motivate team to deliver high-quality service.
• Comply with Meijer policies and applicable laws.
• Communicate effectively and drive change.
• Stay organized and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients to address needs and improve service.
• If pharmacist in charge is absent, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Provide and oversee immunization services where allowed.
