Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Michigan seeks a licensed pharmacist to lead patient care in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. You will fill prescriptions safely, educate patients, and supervise pharmacy technicians to deliver exceptional service.

A Doctorate of Pharmacy or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, state licensure, and CPR certification are required. Immunization certification is preferred; Meijer provides education assistance, weekly pay, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
CPR certification.
Retail/Community Practice.

Responsibilities

Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, state and federal laws.
Effective communication skills and agent of change.
Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs, customer service.
In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
Perform and oversee clinical services including immunizations.
