Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Relief Night Care Worker to support older people overnight, ensuring comfort, safety and wellbeing through the night. You will provide personal care, wellbeing checks and respond to call bells as part of the night team.

Full training will be provided; you may work towards SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. PVG scheme membership and SSSC registration (or willingness to join) are required. Induction, pension, discounts and health benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is helpful but not essential.
• Basic IT skills are required for completing records and mandatory training.
• Willing to work towards SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification.
• Must be a member of PVG Scheme and registered with SSSC, or willing to join and register.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal and intimate care during the night.
• Carry out regular wellbeing checks throughout the night.
• Respond to call bells and support comfort needs.
• Support hydration and repositioning where appropriate.
• Maintain a calm, safe and clean environment overnight.
• Complete care records and night reports accurately.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure residents are supported.
• Support morning routines where required.
