Job summary

Carroll Place is seeking a Night Shift Caregiver to provide essential support to clients during the night, ensuring safety and comfort and coordinating with the healthcare team and families.

The role requires compassionate individuals capable of independent work, with CNA/HHA certification preferred and flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and a supportive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification (CNA, HHA, etc.) preferred.
• Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or related field is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Monitor the health and well-being of clients, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety and comfort.
• Prepare light meals or snacks as needed, catering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to proper schedules and dosages.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities and provide companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including tidying living spaces and assisting with laundry.
• Document daily care activities and any significant changes in the client's condition.
• Communicate effectively with family members and the healthcare team regarding client needs and concerns.
