Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide relief support across our Washington hospitals. The position offers flexible scheduling, with 3-5 shifts per week and shifts ranging 8-12 hours, across Lynnwood and other WA locations.

This role gives exposure to a variety of cases and specialties, opportunities for training and mentorship, and compensation of $38-41 per hour, negotiable based on credentials and experience.

Qualifications

• LVT-Licensed Veterinary Technician required.
• Emergency and specialty experience preferred.
• Possible overnight availability.
• Reliable transportation and schedule flexibility required.
• Availability for 3-5 shifts per week (8-12 hour shifts).
• Experience with training and mentorship is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain accurate medical records including health history.
• Readies patients for discharge, gathers medications, and communicates discharge instructions to pet parents.
• Assist in general anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Use fear-free handling and maintain hospital safety.
• Complete in-patient and out-patient tests and treatments as requested.
