Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide relief support across Washington hospitals, including Lynnwood. This part-time role offers 3–5 shifts per week, with shifts ranging from 8–12 hours, and opportunities to work at multiple sites in the region.

You will assist veterinarians, train staff, maintain medical records, and participate in anesthesia and surgery under supervision. Flexible scheduling and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold LVT license in Washington state.
• Experience in emergency and specialty settings preferred.
• Potential overnight availability requested.
• Reliable transportation and flexible scheduling required.
• Available for 3-5 shifts per week, shifts ranging 8–12 hours.
• Experience in training and mentoring teammates is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain accurate medical records including health history.
• Prepare patients for discharge and communicate discharge instructions to pet parents.
• Assist in anesthesia, surgery, and sedation procedures.
• Use fear-free handling and follow safety protocols.
• Execute in-patient and out-patient diagnostics as directed by clinicians.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and labs.
• Collaborate with team members to support hospital operations.
