Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide relief support across our Washington hospitals. This part-time role offers the flexibility to design your own work week and locations across the state, with exposure to a wide range of cases and specialties.

You'll collaborate with veterinarians, mentor team members, and help maintain medical records while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• LVT license required.
• Emergency and Specialty experience preferred.
• Possible overnight availability.
• Reliable transportation.
• Schedule flexibility.
• Availability for 3–5 shifts per week (8–12 hours per shift).
• Experience in training/mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality care and educate clients.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Maintain accurate medical records and health histories.
• Prepare patients for discharge and communicate discharge instructions to pet parents.
• Assist in general anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Use fear-free handling and ensure hospital safety protocols.
