Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Food Service Team Member to support patient meals and dining services.

You will prepare, serve, stock, and deliver trays, while maintaining safety standards and compassionate service to patients and families.

The role offers full-time hours, daytime shifts, and potential shift differentials; prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Schedule: 8.5-hour shifts will be scheduled between 5a-4:30p, 40 hours/week.
• Provide staffing coverage across Food Services as needed.
• Prepare, serve, stock, and replenish food and beverage items.
• Assemble patient meal trays according to diet orders when assigned.
• Deliver excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards.
• Support cash handling, inventory, stocking, and other operational duties as assigned.
• Adapt to changing work locations, assignments, and departmental needs.
• Relief position with no guaranteed schedule.
• Work assignments are based on departmental staffing needs and may vary from week to week.
• There is a mandatory every other weekend and every other holiday rotation.
