Job summary

360 Communities in Eagan, MN is seeking a Shelter Advocate to provide crisis intervention, emotional support, and safety planning to domestic and sexual violence survivors at Lewis House. The role is relief/on-call, with 1–2 years of related experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required if experience applies; completion of 40-hour sexual assault training is preferred.

Responsibilities include crisis line work, advocacy, housing assessments, coordinating referrals, and supporting

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience with victims of domestic/sexual violence.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience may substitute for degree.
• 40-hour sexual assault training preferred, but not required within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, emotional support, information and referrals to residents and crisis-line callers.
• Offer safety planning, advocacy, and connection to resources for survivors and families.
• Assist with day-to-day shelter operations, donations, and volunteer coordination.
• Respond to hospital calls to support victims during exams as scheduled.
• Participate in group activities, case consultations, and staff meetings as required.
