Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated custodian to perform general cleaning of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and restrooms. The role involves assisting with cafeteria cleaning and event setup, with occasional after-hours coverage and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities include moving furniture, operating cleaning equipment, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring security of the building.

Qualifications

• Experience with general cleaning methods and standards.
• Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
• Must speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning duties inside fixtures, floors, walls, and windows.
• Assists with school lunch coverage and cafeteria cleaning.
• Moves furniture, strips floors, snow removal, and trash removal.
• Monitors restrooms stock levels and secures building.
• Sets up and tears down for school events.
• Reports maintenance issues to BOS.
• Unlocks and locks facilities as required.
• Provides coverage for after-school and weekend activities.
• May assist with building repairs and general maintenance.
