Job summary

LifeWise Academy is hiring a part-time LifeWise driver in Indiana to provide safe transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith, active church involvement, and a clean driving record.

You will operate a bus with adherence to traffic laws, perform pre-trip inspections, keep the vehicle clean, and supervise students. The position is non-exempt, part-time, with potential classroom volunteer opportunities and mandatory background

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Regular driver’s license; continuously licensed for at least 3 years.
• Age 21–80 (75+ requires additional documentation).
• Clean driving record with no at-fault incidents in 5 years.
• Must pass background check.
• Must complete annual physician's statement if medical condition exists.
• Must undergo drug and/or alcohol testing as required.
• CDL with passenger endorsement if driving a 15+ passenger vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular inspections of the bus
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle as needed
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if agreed upon with the Director
