Job summary

Mini-Circuits, located in New York, is seeking a Reliability Technician to support the Reliability Engineering team with qualification programs, environmental testing, and failure analysis for RF and microwave components. The role focuses on hands-on lab work, sample preparation, test setup, data collection, and precise documentation.

You will maintain test records, communicate with engineers and external labs, and ensure traceability and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• Experience in technical, manufacturing, quality, reliability, electronics, or lab environments.
• Ability to follow procedures, test plans, and engineering direction accurately.
• Basic understanding of electronic components, assemblies, and ESD handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good troubleshooting skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support reliability qualification activities for new products and changes.
• Prepare reliability test samples, labeling, serialization, inspection, and loading into test fixtures or chambers.
• Assist with setup, monitoring, and completion of reliability tests (temperature cycling, HTOL, humidity, vibration, etc.).
• Coordinate with third‑party test partners to communicate requirements and track progress.
• Perform pre-, interim-, and post-test inspections and document results.
• Maintain reliability records, including serial numbers, test conditions, and observations.
• Support failure analysis by preparing samples and coordinating additional analyses.
• Operate reliability lab equipment, including chambers, ovens, meters, and data loggers.
• Identify and report abnormalities or potential reliability concerns to engineers.
• Maintain clean, organized, and ESD-compliant lab environment.
