Saint-Gobain seeks a Reliability Technician II at its Kansas plant to keep manufacturing safe, efficient, and reliable through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
You will read schematics, perform electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic repairs, use SAP CMMS, and support mold changes and reliability projects; shift flexibility is required.
This position puts safety above everything else. Under the direction of the Maintenance & Reliability Lead, the Reliability Technician II performs intermediate electrical, pneumatic, hydraulics and mechanical repairs. They focus on preventive and predictive maintenance practices and assist as needed with the plant operation. Responds to calls for service as necessary. This role requires a solution focused and motivated person who communicates well.

In this role, you will help keep our manufacturing operation running safely, efficiently, and reliably through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Put safety first by following EHS policies, completing safety observations, identifying unsafe conditions, and maintaining an organized work environment.
Perform intermediate electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, prints, and technical drawings to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Use SAP CMMS to manage work orders, maintain equipment records, complete parts transactions, and document labor, materials, and maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and repair automation systems, test electrical circuits, and calibrate equipment to required specifications.
Support mold changes, mold cleaning, mold repairs, equipment moves, and other plant reliability activities as needed.
Participate in training and continuous skill development related to safety, electricity, automation, fluid power, fabrication, and plant equipment.
Communicate effectively, maintain a solutions-focused attitude, and participate in or lead plant and WCM teams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required.
3+ years of industrial or machine-tool maintenance experience required.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and equipment manuals.
Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift and occasional weekends based on business needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with automation, SAP or another CMMS, welding, fabrication, fluid power systems, and industrial equipment is preferred.
Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, accountability, and a solutions-focused approach.
PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to frequently stand, walk, reach, handle tools and equipment, and perform physical maintenance activities.
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 pounds and work around noise, dust, moving machinery, and seasonal temperatures.
Ability to wear required PPE; safely use forklifts, manlifts, or other heavy equipment after certification; and read, speak, and understand English.
