Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Planner in Morenci, AZ to lead planning and scheduling activities for a mining operation. You will ensure accurate data in SAP, collaborate with site supervisors, and drive timely execution of work orders while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and six (6) years specific experience in field maintenance in mining/manufacturing or industrial operations OR six (6) years specific Planning experience in field maintenance in either mining/manufacturing or industrial operations.
• High School diploma or GED and six (6) years related field maintenance experience in mining/mfg. or industrial operations including four (4) years of specific Planning experience
• Associates in a technical field and four (4) years related experience in field maintenance in mining/mfg. or industrial operations.
• Bachelor's degree in technical field and two (2) years related experience in field maintenance in mining/mfg. or industrial operations.
• Understanding of concepts and workflow of Maintenance Planning/Scheduling
• Understanding of mining and/or processing equipment function
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of maintenance management systems and associated applications.
• Demonstrated professional/effective written and oral communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead workload activities of the assigned department by planning, scheduling, measuring, and analyzing maintenance activities with site supervisors; plan, schedule, and analyze execution to resolve issues.
• Manage and maintain the integrity of information management systems to meet planning and scheduling objectives.
• Interact with the Supervisor under ERS to set and monitor planned schedules; participate in daily/weekly/monthly planning meetings; review and schedule work orders.
• Execute Runtime Forecasting processes and outcomes in the assigned area.
• Provide guidance and mentor Planner I personnel in Freeport-McMoRan practices and planning techniques.
• Support area Supervisor in job preparation, execution and follow up; ensure readiness and materials/equipment availability on site.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules for assigned activities; maintain schedules in SAP.
• Collaborate with other Planners and supervisors on long-range planning and major shutdowns; handle job priority and resource/budget coordination.
• Maintain and ensure data integrity in SAP for the assigned area.
• Execute and maintain history for all activities in SAP.
• Engage with Global Supply Chain to manage warehouse min/max levels and storage conditions.
• Support contracts with scopes of work; request parts/materials; interface with Global Supply Chain and vendors as needed.
• Assist with maintenance management decisions including budgets and weekly forecasting.
• Generate regular and ad hoc site management reports to measure KPIs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
