Job summary

Trinseo is seeking a Reliability Mechanic in Bristol, PA to troubleshoot and repair piping, plumbing and tank systems on the production lines. The role reports to the Reliability Leader and operates on an 8-hour shift with after-hours emergency support.

The candidate should have strong mechanical skills, experience in chemical environments, and the ability to read drawings and isometrics. Safe work practices and PPE are mandatory.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical industry preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting pumps, mechanical seals and manufacturing equipment.
• Desirable experience with rigging and installing machinery.
• Experience using different metal cutting techniques (grinder disc, oxygen cut, pipe cutter).
• Proficient using rotary tools and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work procedures in the operation of tools and equipment proper of their duties as pipe fitter/mechanic.
• Relays pertinent technical information to co-workers and supervisor.
• Determine list of materials and parts to execute the work.
• Drives a forklift.
• Maintains good housekeeping of work areas.
• Supports Behavior Based Safety process by performing observations.
• Supports Loss Control policy, ISO 9001 and OSHAS 18001 management systems.
• Will climb ladders and work outside in all weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE including SCBA respirator.
• Will work on a 8 hour shift schedule (requires emergency plant support after hours).
