Job summary

Trinseo is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer (Chemical Manufacturing) in Bristol, PA, onsite. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and coordinating design and implementation of capital and expense improvement projects with manufacturing teams, engineering personnel, and external resources.

You will manage budgets, support safety and process safety activities, and help ensure reliability and plant health while working across levels from floor to corporate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in chemical industry environment.
• Experience in capital project management and maintenance/reliability.
• Knowledge of Process Safety – Mechanical Integrity, LPPs, Layers of Project, etc. is a plus.
• Capital Project Management experience and ability to learn SAP programs and reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for plant capital and expense projects to meet yearly budget commitments.
• Identify, evaluate and define improvement opportunities to increase mechanical reliability.
• Manage the mechanical integrity (MI) inspection program and MI reports.
• Support HE&S safety programs and initiatives.
